Love Triangle Heats Up in 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' as Kim Jae-won Loses His Cool
In the fifth episode of tvN's 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' (directed by Lee Sang-yeob, written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran), which aired on the night of the 27th at 8:50 PM, Shin Soon-rok (played by Kim Jae-won) reveals his undeniable hostility towards Joo-ho (played by Choi Daniel) as they both vie for the affection of Kim Yumi (played by Kim Go-eun).
During the episode, Shin Soon-rok couldn't hide his discomfort as Joo-ho openly expressed his interest in Kim Yumi. He even opposed a light-hearted joke from a colleague suggesting that the two looked good together.
Typically calm and professional, Shin Soon-rok's cynical reaction to Joo-ho's presence surprised those around him, as he remarked that they didn't seem to match well.
Shin Soon-rok's emotional turmoil became more apparent during a face-to-face encounter with Joo-ho. When Joo-ho, anxious about not being able to reach Kim Yumi, approached him, Shin Soon-rok calmly lied, saying that Kim Yumi was watching a movie and would be unreachable for the next two hours.
In Shin Soon-rok's cell village, the rational cell lost control, and the dormant emotional cell awakened, taking charge. Despite the rational cell's advice to avoid unnecessary involvement in others' relationships, the emotional cell, driven by jealousy and resentment towards Joo-ho, ignored all logical reasoning and acted on emotion. The process of Shin Soon-rok, known for his strict adherence to principles, gradually crumbling in the face of love provided viewers with fresh excitement and anticipation.
