Actor Lee Jae-wook Discusses Upcoming Projects and Career Insights in 'Arena' Interview
Actor Lee Jae-wook, who debuted in 2018, recently shared updates on his career and upcoming projects in an interview with fashion magazine 'Arena'.

Having just completed filming for a drama, Lee is taking his first break since his debut, greeting the crew with an excited expression.

He hinted at his upcoming projects, 'Doctor Somboy' and 'Honey Part-time', both set to be released in the latter half of this year. Lee expressed, "I believe 'Doctor Somboy' will deliver a powerful emotional impact. It's about a doctor isolated on a remote island, but it deals with emotions we all experience in everyday life." He added, "I laughed and cried a lot during filming. Even when it wasn't my scene, I found myself tearing up while monitoring. I'm relieved it turned out to be a heartwarming piece."

Regarding 'Honey Part-time', Lee mentioned, "I can't reveal much yet, but I expect it to be one of the most groundbreaking domestic releases this year." The project is known to feature Go Min-si, Kim Min-ha, and Lee Hee-jun.

On his strengths, Lee stated, "I'm not afraid to try new things. Although I fear failure, I strive to maintain the mindset that 'it's okay to fail.' With each new project, I aim to show a side of myself that hasn't been seen before. Even if I'm clumsy, I approach the set with the intention of preparing everything I can."

Having dreamed of becoming an actor since childhood, Lee also shared his thoughts on what makes a good actor. He said, "I believe a good actor fulfills the role required by the project. Rather than creating something that doesn't exist in the world, I want to be an actor who naturally blends into the frame of the work." He continued, "A good actor keeps the audience focused on the screen, not distracted by anything else, and makes the work, not themselves, stand out."
