In the latest episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama '21st Century Grand Prince,' Lee An (played by Byun Woo-seok) kneels to propose to Seong Hee-joo (played by IU).

The fifth episode, aired on the 24th, depicted a tense moment as Seong Hee-joo, while transporting the young King Lee Yoon, faced a critical situation due to vehicle malfunction.

In a moment of chaos, Lee An intervened, taking the brunt of the accident, which led to him being hospitalized and undergoing surgery.

Post-surgery, a tense silence filled the hospital room, with an unspoken connection between the two. Seong Hee-joo, in a sharp tone, questioned, "Why did you intervene? Are you crazy?" yet her eyes were already tenderly examining the wounds on his face.

She added, "Did you hurt your face too? Your face is all you have," her voice betraying a tender concern beneath her harsh words.

Lee An, regaining consciousness, prioritized Seong Hee-joo's safety over his own pain. "You fainted," he remarked, extending a hand with a gaze full of concern.


His quiet plea, "Come here, I'm in pain," eased the tension in the room, subtly closing the emotional distance between them.
