Kim Bum Shines in Romantic Comedy Debut with 'Today We Sold Out Again'

Kim Bum, at 36, showcases his diverse charms by venturing into a new genre. For the first time since his acting debut in 2006, he takes on a romantic comedy, capturing attention.

In the first two episodes of SBS's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Today We Sold Out Again', aired on the 22nd and 23rd, Kim Bum plays the role of 'Seo Eric', an executive director of the global skincare brand 'Letoile'. From his visuals to his detailed emotional expressions, he enhances the character's appeal, leaving a strong first impression.

Eric experiences a dynamic first encounter with Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-bin). Excited by the news that Ye-jin, a show host for 'Hit', requested a meeting, he eagerly suggests meeting as soon as possible. Three years ago, Eric fell for Ye-jin at first sight when she asked where he bought his umbrella. Believing in fate, he set a lunch date without specifying a time. However, he waited all day the next day, only to return to France when she didn't show up.

When Eric goes to meet Ye-jin again, he can't hide his excitement, adjusting his outfit with a flushed face. Upon Ye-jin's arrival, he greets her warmly, but when she only nods politely, he is visibly disappointed. Trying to jog her memory, he tousles his hair, hoping she'll recognize him. Reflecting on their first meeting, Eric, determined, responds to Cha Sil-jang's (played by Kim Joong-don) comment that she wasn't his destiny with, "This time, I'll make it happen," hinting at his future actions.

From the start of 'Today We Sold Out Again', Kim Bum has fully satisfied those who have been waiting for his romance genre debut. Perfectly embodying the 'rom-com tailored' visual with bright hair color and sophisticated styling, he conveys Eric's emotions for Ye-jin through trembling eyes and a subtle smile, stirring excitement in viewers. As Eric's straightforward pursuit of Ye-jin is set to unfold, all eyes are on Kim Bum's performance.
