K-Pop Star Lee Hyori Opens Up About Her Move to Seoul and New Yoga Studio
On the 24th, Lee Hyori appeared on the 'Channel Fifteenya' YouTube channel, where she conducted a yoga class for producer Na Young-seok and his team, showcasing her dedication as a yoga instructor.
During the session, Lee Hyori candidly discussed natural bodily functions that occur during yoga classes.
Regarding students passing gas, she remarked, "It's a sign that their bodies are relaxing, so I actually feel proud," adding humorously, "I also pass gas during classes. I tend to do it silently and move to the other side to avoid detection," which elicited laughter.
She also mentioned finding amusement in watching students pinch themselves to suppress laughter.
Lee Hyori shared how her lifestyle has changed since opening the yoga studio. "I wake up at 5 AM every day for classes. I've set a rule to go to bed by 10 or 11 PM, which helps me maintain mental health," she explained.
Lee Hyori also offered philosophical advice on life. "When people criticize, it's best to just wait it out. Reacting can create bigger problems," she said.
She emphasized, "Even when experiencing physical pain, it's important to endure and stay still. If faced with challenges, think of someone who perseveres and focus on that."
Towards the end of the interview, Lee Hyori revealed the true reason for leaving Jeju and opening a yoga studio in Seoul. "I've gained so much from yoga in my life," she said. "I've met friends I can confide in and benefited in many ways through yoga."
She added, "Since I've gained so much, I wanted to give back and help others with similar struggles find comfort," expressing her genuine passion for yoga.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori and her husband, Lee Sang-soon, moved from Jeju to Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, in the latter half of 2024 after living in Jeju for 11 years.
