Troubled Marriage: Wife Breaks Down Over Husband's Gaming Obsession and Verbal Abuse
On the October 23rd broadcast of JTBC's 'Divorce Consideration Camp,' the story of a couple, who started a family at 20 and are now on the brink of separation, was shared.
The wife revealed that she met her husband as a student while he was a school staff member, and she became pregnant with their first child during her senior year of high school. She stated, "I spent most of my 20s solely focused on raising our children and managing the household, but my husband always used the excuse of being busy with the eggplant farm to neglect the family," adding that he wasn't there even during the birth of their third child.
The husband was involved in five agricultural groups, holding executive positions, and frequently attended drinking gatherings, while at home, he was absorbed in gaming.
She further revealed, "Even during the labor of our second child, he was lying down playing games," and shockingly added, "He couldn't put down the game even during our intimate moments."
Additionally, the husband reportedly made derogatory remarks such as, "You don't feed a caught fish," and "If you get fat like my sisters, I'll kill you." He explained, "My sisters have gained a lot of weight, and I told my wife that if she becomes like them, I'd kill her."
In contrast, the husband claimed, "My wife has caused incidents by kissing strangers when drunk or throwing beer glasses, which I had to resolve with settlement money."
Ultimately, the wife confessed to relying on antidepressants due to her husband's neglect, revealing, "I even attempted extreme measures in the past," which evoked sympathy.
Seo Jang-hoon criticized the husband for prioritizing games and gatherings over family, saying, "Give up your positions and just play games. You won't be able to do anything else this way."
