Chef Choi Kang-rok Discusses New Restaurant Plans at 'Choi Kang Road - Food Spoiler' Press Conference

Chef Choi Kang-rok opened up about his plans to open a restaurant.

On the 17th, a press conference for SBS's new variety show 'Choi Kang Road - Food Spoiler' was held at Sims Space in Sangam, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by Chef Choi Kang-rok, Chef Kim Do-yoon, singer Defconn, Son Jung-min, and PD Ha Jung-seok.

'Choi Kang Road - Food Spoiler' is a high-end culinary roadshow that reveals the secrets of cooking and offers the pleasure of intellectual gastronomy. Choi Kang-rok, Kim Do-yoon, and Defconn travel across the country to unveil spoilers that make food taste even better.

During the event, Choi Kang-rok candidly shared his thoughts on working with Chef Kim Do-yoon. He humorously remarked, "I'm not sure yet. There were moments when I thought we might end up not speaking to each other after this," and added, "Since our knowledge and experiences with food differ, whenever one of us said something, the other would often take the opposite stance."

He also addressed the interest surrounding his restaurant plans following 'Black and White Chef.' Choi Kang-rok stated, "Some have suggested that I might be focusing on broadcasting, but I am continuously planning a restaurant." He confirmed, "I have decided to open a noodle shop in Nonhyeon-dong and am working hard to prepare a restaurant that reflects my style. It's still in the planning stages, so it might take a few more years."

'Choi Kang Road - Food Spoiler' premieres on the 21st at 9 PM.
