Lee Do-jin Shines with Teamwork and Emotion on 'Legend of the Unfamous'

Singer Lee Do-jin once again made his mark with a performance full of laughter, emotion, and teamwork on the national music competition stage.

On the 8th episode of MBN's 'Legend of the Unfamous' aired on the night of the 15th, Lee Do-jin formed the group 'Simkoongdan' with Moon Eun-seok, Kim Tae-woong, Son Eun-seol, and Kim Han-yul, and participated in the first round of the third national music competition team medley.

Even before taking the stage, Simkoongdan was considered a strong contender and immediately shook the atmosphere with their entrance. Dressed in matching pink suits, they exuded cheerful energy centered around Lee Do-jin. The rehearsal process was filled with laughter, as Lee Do-jin displayed a nurturing leadership style, organizing the playful young members and even taking care of meals, acting like a mother figure. Despite the chaotic environment resembling a kids' cafe, he played a pivotal role in keeping the team together.

The performance kicked off with the bright and lively 'Eobuba.' Lee Do-jin captured attention by dancing while carrying Son Eun-seol, drawing smiles with witty choreography and gestures that matched the lyrics. Throughout the performance, he executed high-difficulty moves, such as lifting young members, bringing pure joy to the stage.

Following Moon Eun-seok and Kim Tae-woong's traditional trot 'Sewola,' Lee Do-jin and Moon Eun-seok performed a duet of 'First Love,' changing the mood. His clear voice instantly captivated the audience's emotions, and the flower-giving performance added a touch of delicate stage manners. The harmonious blend of their voices, traversing high notes, left a lasting impression.

Simkoongdan, with Kim Tae-woong, Son Eun-seol, and Kim Han-yul's 'Bulnabi' performance, heightened the excitement, culminating in a grand finale with the group performance of 'Jang Yoon-jung Twist.' The synchronized tambourine dance and the unwavering performance with young members on their shoulders showcased the pinnacle of teamwork. The stage, transcending age, was a drama in itself.

The judges showered the performance with praise. Choi Baek-ho succinctly remarked, "Well done," while Jang Yoon-jung noted, "It was evident that they yielded to the children. That choice was smarter," and praised, "'Eobuba' seemed like a song made for this team." The result was a top score of 914 points. Beyond the high score, the lingering impact of the performance was profound.

Above all, Lee Do-jin's story leaves a deeper impression. Despite being diagnosed with hearing loss and vocal cord nodules three years ago, he overcame these challenges with his passion for singing. Now, on the stage of 'Legend of the Unfamous,' he is proving his potential more freely and intensely than anyone else.
