Yang Se-chan's Bold Statement on MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes' Villa Special
On the upcoming episode of MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes' (directed by Jung Da-hee, Nam Yoo-jung, Heo Ja-yoon, Kim Sung-nyeon), airing on the 16th, the show will embark on a 'Seoul Villa Special' to break the stereotypes surrounding villas.
The episode features 'real estate expert' comedian Yang Se-hyung and 'real estate novice' crossover group Forestella's Cho Min-kyu and Go Woo-rim. The trio explores various properties to uncover the true charm of 'villas' in Seoul, often overshadowed by the city's reputation as an 'apartment republic.' Villas, though not an official term in building registers, commonly refer to multi-family, multi-unit, and row houses. Through this exploration, they aim to present unique housing options with distinct characteristics and advantages.
In the studio, a balance game unfolds over whether to live in a 'national standard apartment' or a '50-pyeong villa' with a budget of 1.5 billion won. Jang Dong-min and Joo Woo-jae advocate for 'villa living,' emphasizing spaciousness and a tranquil environment, while Kim Sook points out practical drawbacks like parking difficulties. Yang Se-chan, the only one currently residing in a villa, humorously declares, "But I still prefer apartments." The 'apartment advocates' highlight the convenience of management and living infrastructure, while the 'villa advocates' emphasize generous space. The debate sparks interest in which side will be more persuasive.
On the balcony, Yang Se-hyung is left speechless by the stunning mountain view, claiming it's the best he's seen in Seoul. The natural scenery captivates everyone, and Cho Min-kyu adds to the ambiance by mimicking bird sounds, while Go Woo-rim showcases his impersonation skills. The studio joins in with a parade of animal sounds, adding to the laughter.
The villa's high-end interior and 'one room, one bathroom per person' layout surprise them once more. Go Woo-rim shares, "When I was young, we only had one bathroom, and it caused frequent arguments," while Yang Se-hyung adds, "My family of six shared one." Their anecdotes lead to a flurry of shocking bathroom stories in the studio. The villa's unique structure and space utilization stand out, and the homeowner's philosophy of "living in a space you love is most important" heightens anticipation for the property.
MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes' Seoul Villa Special airs on Thursday, the 16th, at 10 PM.
