SBS's New Drama 'Brave New World' Starring Lee Do-hyun and Lim Ji-yeon Set to Premiere on May 8
Set to premiere on May 8, 'Brave New World' (directed by Han Tae-seop, written by Kang Hyun-joo, produced by Studio S and Gil Pictures) is a romantic comedy drama about the explosive encounters between Shin Se-ri (played by Lim Ji-yeon), a struggling actress possessed by the spirit of a notorious villainess from the Joseon era, and Cha Se-gye (played by Heo Nam-joon), a ruthless chaebol known as a 'monster of capitalism.' Directed by Han Tae-seop, known for 'Stove League' and 'Cheer Up,' and written by newcomer Kang Hyun-joo, the drama promises a powerful synergy with its lead actors Lim Ji-yeon and Heo Nam-joon.
The phrase 'Villainess Meets a New World' further piques curiosity. In the drama, Dan-sim, born of low status but rising to the position of a concubine, shakes Joseon as a notorious villainess. The mystery of how she becomes entangled with Cha Se-gye, a 'monster born of capitalism' in the 21st century, adds intrigue. The unpredictable synergy between these two villains in 'Brave New World' heightens anticipation.
Meanwhile, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Brave New World' will premiere on Friday, May 8, at 9:50 PM.
