Kim Shin-young Opens Up About Past Romance on 'Malja Show' Amid Weight Struggles

Kim Shin-young, who recently experienced a weight rebound after losing 44kg, candidly shared her past romantic experiences on the 'Malja Show'.

The KBS2 'Malja Show' aired on the 13th, featuring a special episode focused on personality types. During the show, host Kim Young-hee addressed a viewer's concern about dealing with a logical partner, saying, "My partner is a capital T, and conversations with them are stressful. How can I avoid getting hurt?"

Kim Young-hee explained the differences between T (thinking, logical) and F (feeling, emotional) personality types for those unfamiliar with MBTI. She likened the personalities to the shapes of the letters, noting, "T types are steady, while F types are emotionally inclined." She emphasized, "F types often seek empathy from T types, but it's not that T types won't provide it; they simply can't."

Kim Young-hee expressed her belief that opposite MBTI types can complement each other well. She and guest Kim Shin-young performed a skit where an F wife gossips to her husband, with Kim Shin-young humorously portraying both T and F husbands, bringing laughter to the studio.

Kim Young-hee advised, "The reason people say not to speak ill of others is because you are the first to hear it. If you don't receive empathy, you stop complaining, and your mind quickly finds peace. However, if Fs talk among themselves, the anger persists." She added, "For quick peace, talk to a T; for comfort, talk to an F. It's not about T or F, but about navigating relationships wisely to avoid issues."

During the episode, Kim Shin-young also reminisced about her past love life. She shared, "In my first year of high school, I thought confessing would solve everything. I confessed 11 times, but the person said, 'I just want to attend school,' so I realized confessing wasn't the answer."

Kim Shin-young continued, "Since then, I've never been dumped. About three days before a breakup, there's a strange vibe, and when it hits, I say, 'I want to break up.'" Kim Young-hee laughed, "I never saw it coming. I only found out about Kim Shin-young's relationships after they ended. She once mentioned breaking up with a Japanese boyfriend."

Kim Shin-young also revealed her flirting strategy, saying, "If there's a table, I sit diagonally from the person I like. Sitting directly in front is too much pressure. From the diagonal, I keep showing care." Kim Young-hee joked, "Isn't that what a restaurant auntie does?" bringing more laughter.
