Kwon-ho Sim Opens Up About Love Life and Cancer Recovery on 'Joseon's Love'

Kwon-ho Sim, known for his appearance on 'Joseon's Love', shared insights into his personal life and recovery journey.

On the October 13th episode of TV Chosun's 'Joseon's Love', Sim, who recently battled liver cancer, took a trip to Jeju Island.

During his stay, Sim sought relationship advice from Choi Hong-man, who resides in Jeju. Choi, who has more female friends than male, shared, "I find it more comfortable and fun to talk with women than men."

Sim confessed, "I'm the opposite. I only have male friends around me and find it difficult to talk to women." He added, "I tend to give short answers when asked questions." Choi advised against this, to which Sim expressed his frustration, "Do you think I want to be like this?"

Choi advised, "Just listen to people and respond positively." Sim revealed, "I never had time to meet anyone, and I don't understand how relationships work. I've never dated in my 53 years."

Three months ago, Sim disclosed his early-stage liver cancer diagnosis. He shared, "At that time, I had no one to guide me, and I had to do it alone. Now that the treatment is over, I can enjoy the sea I love. I wish I had undergone treatment sooner."

Yoon Jung-soo encouraged him, saying, "People who think like you will gain courage from your story." Sim expressed gratitude, "I hope people won't be afraid and get treated quickly. I've realized there are many people who care for and support me."

Meanwhile, Sim, who has been encouraged to marry, revealed the presence of a 'mysterious female fan' who visited his home. Three weeks after his liver cancer surgery, a woman brought him red ginseng, but Sim felt overwhelmed rather than uninterested.

Yoon teased, "Are you going to ghost her after receiving the red ginseng?" Choi suggested, "Send her a gift in return, like Jeju's famous omegitteok."

Sim sent a brief message to his 'first fan to visit home', saying, "I'm in Jeju, I'll send you some omegitteok. Can I have your address?" He added, "We've been in touch for two months, occasionally talking on the phone. She asked about my health, and I told her I'm fine."
