Actor Lee Beom-soo Opens Up About Life Post-Divorce on 'My Ugly Duckling'

Actor Lee Beom-soo has spoken publicly for the first time since his divorce.

On the October 12th episode of SBS's variety show 'My Ugly Duckling', Lee Beom-soo appeared to share updates on his life.

During the show, Lee expressed, "It feels like a new energy is beginning these days. As many know, I've had personal issues over the past 2-3 years. Recently, they have been resolved." He candidly shared his thoughts on the divorce.

"There are no winners in a divorce. Both parties are hurt. My pain isn't what's important; I feel deeply sorry for my children and regret leaving my family with pain," he said.

Reflecting on the conclusion of the divorce agreement, he added, "I felt like I had been beaten all over my body," recalling the moment when the tension was released.

Lee also addressed the controversy surrounding the revealing SNS posts by his ex-wife, Lee Yoon-jin, during the divorce process. "There were many misunderstandings. It was very upsetting from my perspective. Still, I think it was wise to remain silent. I felt sorry for the children and didn't want to draw attention to something that wasn't positive. I feel very sorry for them," he expressed.

Lee Beom-soo and interpreter Lee Yoon-jin officially announced their divorce in February.

At the time, Lee Beom-soo's agency stated, "As parents of their children, they have agreed to respect and support each other from their respective positions," confirming that the legal procedures related to the divorce were amicably concluded.

The agency further clarified, "Through sufficient discussions, mutual misunderstandings have been resolved. During the divorce proceedings, speculative reports and distorted interpretations spread, which we wish to correct."

Lee Yoon-jin's SNS post at the time became a topic of discussion, leading to various interpretations. She wrote, "What is that shameless face that doesn't blush even after committing sins and shameful acts?"

However, when announcing the divorce agreement, Lee Yoon-jin stated, "We have resolved misunderstandings that arose due to a lack of communication during the marriage, and we have agreed to respect and support each other as parents of our children." She added, "Please warmly support actor Lee Beom-soo's future endeavors."

Lee Beom-soo married Lee Yoon-jin in 2010, and they have a son and a daughter. The family gained popularity by sharing their daily life on KBS2's 'The Return of Superman'.
