Kim Joo-ha Opens Up About Financial Struggles and Painful Past

Kim Joo-ha, 52, revealed that she has been financially stagnant for a decade after giving her ex-husband 1 billion KRW (approximately $10 million) in a divorce settlement.

On the upcoming episode of MBN's 'Kim Joo-ha's Day and Night,' airing on the 11th at 9:40 PM, Kim Joo-ha will engage in an in-depth conversation with Song Hee-gu, the author of 'The Story of Manager Kim Who Works at a Major Corporation and Owns a Home in Seoul,' as part of the 'Meeting the Special List' segment.

Song Hee-gu shares candid insights about the current trend of real estate scouting, stating, "Scouting has become so systematic, like an academy, that you see all sorts of things." He emphasizes the importance of the neighborhood's atmosphere, particularly from the subway station to the entrance of the target apartment, capturing the audience's attention with his unique scouting tips.

Kim Joo-ha candidly shares her painful experience of failing in a 'vacant commercial property' investment, expressing her frustration over being financially stuck for ten years. She resonates deeply with Song Hee-gu's realistic take on the challenges of investing in vacant properties, sparking curiosity about how this realization will impact her future decisions.

Kim Joo-ha married a businessman in 2004 and has two children. In 2013, she filed for divorce due to her ex-husband's infidelity and abuse. Although she secured custody, alimony, and 50 million KRW in damages, the court ordered her to pay approximately 1 billion KRW in asset division.

Previously, Kim Joo-ha disclosed on a broadcast that her ex-husband had an affair with a woman living in the building next to theirs. She recounted, "When I presented evidence of his infidelity, he resorted to violence. I have a ruptured eardrum and partial hearing loss in one ear. I was hit twice, and once I fell, resulting in a traumatic brain injury. An hour before a news broadcast, I collapsed and was taken to the hospital, where the doctor asked if I wanted to report it. I said no."
