Singer and actor Park Ji-hoon is set to captivate audiences with his culinary skills in the upcoming TVING original series 'The Legendary Cook'.

Premiering globally on May 11, 'The Legendary Cook' (written by Choi Ryong, directed by Jo Nam-hyung, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Studio Dragon and Studio N, provided by TVING) has released a teaser video showcasing the transformation of Kang Sung-jae, played by Park Ji-hoon, from a rookie soldier to a legendary cook.

The teaser begins with Kang Sung-jae, a fresh recruit in the South Korean Army, heading to his assigned unit. Instead of the heroic fantasies he imagined, he is met with skeptical looks from his seniors.

Before he can even settle in, a simple declaration of “I can cook ramen!” lands him the role of a cook. As soon as he steps into the pantry, he is enveloped by a mysterious aura. Channeling the spirit of a master chef, he skillfully prepares gourmet dishes, leaving his fellow soldiers in awe.

Despite being intimidated by a flapping chicken, Kang Sung-jae's confidence shines through when he wields a knife, bringing a fresh breeze to the camp. His belief that “delicious food made with sincerity has the power to move people” turns meal times into joyous occasions for all soldiers. The secret behind his culinary prowess, which boosts the morale of his comrades, remains a tantalizing mystery.

The teaser concludes with Kang Sung-jae's bright smile and a mysterious voice welcoming him with “Welcome, warrior.” This intriguing voice raises curiosity about who warmly greets the young soldier.

Based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name by J. Robin and Lee Jin-soo, 'The Legendary Cook' will premiere on May 11 at 8:50 PM on TVING and tvN.
