Park Sung-woong confronts a shocking secret about his eldest son, Lee Jin-woo, in 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri'.

In the third episode of KBS 2TV's mini-series 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri', aired on the 9th, Sung Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong) faces another crisis as his eldest son, Sung Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo), decides to drop out of medical school amidst the chaos of his two sons running away from home.

The episode showcased the runaway chaos of Sung Tae-hoon's two sons, Sung Ji-sang (played by Seo Yoon-hyuk) and Sung Ji-gu (played by Yang Woo-hyuk). The two impulsively left home and boarded a bus together, but when the second son, Sung Ji-sang, got off to retrieve his headset, Sung Ji-gu also got off, waiting for his brother, leading to their separation. At the same time, Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung) returned home with members of the women's association, only to find the house in disarray and realized the children had run away, unable to hide her shock.

Meanwhile, the runaway incident of the Sung brothers stirred up the Yeonliri village. Sung Tae-hoon and Jo Mi-ryeo ran around town searching for their children, while village head Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan) and his wife Nam Hye-sun (played by Nam Kwon-ah) announced the situation through village broadcasts. Officer Park (played by Choi Woo-jin) and other residents also searched the town, adding to the concern.

After a thorough search, Im Joo-hyung found Sung Ji-gu hiding in a truck, and Sung Tae-hoon located Sung Ji-sang wandering the streets, bringing the incident to a close. The scene of Sung Ji-sang bursting into tears upon seeing his father and Sung Tae-hoon embracing his son was touching.

However, the relief was short-lived as Sung Tae-hoon collapsed, bringing another crisis. Jo Mi-ryeo took her three sons to the fields to work in place of her ailing husband. Despite the challenging farm work, the family persevered. Observing this, the village residents shared side dishes with the Sung family, showing warmth and kindness. Particularly, village head Im Joo-hyung, who had shown hostility towards Sung Tae-hoon, secretly transformed the poorly cultivated field into a proper one late at night.

Meanwhile, Sung Tae-hoon and Jo Mi-ryeo visited their children's school to check on their progress and unexpectedly encountered Im Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyu-ri), the only daughter of the village head and the school nutritionist. Sung Ji-cheon, who was secretly working part-time in the cafeteria, quickly hid, but Im Bo-mi noticed and took him to the apple orchard. Gathering courage, Sung Ji-cheon confessed, "I don't know what I like. I like seeing you happy, Bo-mi," revealing his true feelings. A subtle tension developed between the two.

As Sung Ji-cheon and Im Bo-mi felt a strong attraction towards each other, a twist unfolded at the end of the episode. Sung Tae-hoon discovered his son's medical school withdrawal application. He urged Sung Ji-cheon to return to school, but Ji-cheon confessed, "I actually killed someone." The shocking revelation left Sung Tae-hoon speechless, marking the episode's dramatic ending.
