Jang Da-ah Makes a Chilling Screen Debut in 'Salmoji'

Jang Da-ah, who is reportedly attending Ewha Womans University, is set to make a striking screen debut with the horror film 'Salmoji'. Debuting in the entertainment industry in 2024, she is the older sister of idol Jang Won-young.

Jang Da-ah will take her first step into the cinema world with the movie 'Salmoji', which opens on Wednesday, the 8th. 'Salmoji' is a horror film that unfolds as a mysterious figure is captured on the 'Salmoji' road view, and a filming crew heads to the reservoir for a reshoot, encountering something dark and deep in the water. In the film, Jang Da-ah plays the role of 'Se-jeong', a junior PD who joins the trip to shoot high-view content for a horror channel.

Jang Da-ah has left an unforgettable impact with each project, receiving enthusiastic responses from viewers. In her debut work, the TVING original series 'Pyramid Game', she played the role of 'Baek Ha-rin', delivering a chilling performance as a villain oscillating between good and evil. She then portrayed 'Im Se-ra' in the Genie TV original drama 'My Precious Star', perfectly embodying the youthful star's visuals and depicting various facets of the character, from fresh excitement to hidden pain. With such a diverse spectrum, anticipation is high for Jang Da-ah's next steps.

Now, Jang Da-ah is venturing into the horror genre with 'Salmoji'. In the previously released trailer, she piqued curiosity with the line, "It's famous for being a place where you can meet the dead," setting the stage for intrigue. Her curious gaze as she digs into the ground and attempts to capture ghosts with devices contrasts with her terrified expression upon seeing something, heightening the tension. All eyes are on the extreme horror Jang Da-ah will deliver in 'Salmoji'.

Starring alongside Jang Da-ah are Kim Hye-yoon, Lee Jong-won, Kim Jun-han, Kim Young-sung, Oh Dong-min, and Yoon Jae-chan. The film 'Salmoji' opens in theaters on the 8th.
