Park Hyung-sik Returns with Netflix Series 'Gakjap-in Sai' After 'Twelve' Ratings Slump
Actor Park Hyung-sik, who faced a ratings slump with his previous work 'Twelve', is making a comeback with the Netflix series 'Gakjap-in Sai'.

'Gakjap-in Sai' is an office romance drama that unfolds when 'Na Jung-seok' (played by Park Hyung-sik), the flawless CEO of a camping outdoor brand, encounters his former military superior 'Woo Ah-mi' (played by Park Gyu-young) as a new employee at his company, leading to a reversal of their hierarchical relationship.

Park Hyung-sik takes on the role of Na Jung-seok, the CEO of the camping outdoor brand. A workaholic with a background in special forces, he possesses determination and drive, embodying perfection while also having an endearing clumsy side. Park Hyung-sik is set to bring out the character's bright and cheerful tone, as well as his romantic charm amidst a serious atmosphere.

Having built a solid acting career across various genres, Park Hyung-sik has seamlessly blended subtle expressions and a gentle voice to enhance the romantic mood in dramas like 'Strong Woman Do Bong-soon', 'Soundtrack #1', 'Youth Monthly Talk', and 'Doctor Slump'.

Last year, he portrayed the protagonist Seo Dong-joo in the drama 'Treasure Island', delivering intense emotions and powerful action scenes, earning him the Best Actor Award at the '2025 SBS Drama Awards'.

However, the KBS drama 'Twelve', which concluded last September, started with a 8.1% rating but faced harsh criticism and saw its ratings plummet to 2.4% by the final episode. All eyes are now on Park Hyung-sik to see if he can achieve a successful comeback with 'Gakjap-in Sai'.
