Korean Actress Son Tae-young Buys Used Car for 17-Year-Old Son in New Jersey
On November 4, Son Tae-young uploaded a video titled 'Son Tae-young's Big Purchase for Son Luke and Kwon Sang-woo' on her YouTube channel 'Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young.'
In the video, Son Tae-young is seen visiting a used car dealership with a friend to check out vehicles. Regarding her son's driving license status, she mentioned, "Luke has passed the written test at school."
Explaining why her son obtained his license early, Son Tae-young said, "Driving is essential in the U.S., especially in New Jersey, where it's hard to get around without a car. If he doesn't learn to drive now, he might be reluctant to do so when he goes to college."
Son Tae-young also shared why she opted for a used car, joking, "He's likely to scratch it somewhere."
After finalizing the purchase, Son Tae-young expressed her satisfaction, saying, "Finally, this car is ours. Even if we sell it later, I was advised to choose this one because it has good resale value. It has great features and clean leather seats."
The vehicle Son Tae-young chose is a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe hybrid SUV. While the new car price ranges from 70 to 90 million won, used models are significantly cheaper, ranging from the mid-30 to high-40 million won.
Son Tae-young married actor Kwon Sang-woo in 2008, and they have a son, Luke, and a daughter, Riho. Currently, Son Tae-young is living in New Jersey with her two children, apart from Kwon Sang-woo, and shares her life in New Jersey through her YouTube channel.
