Tensions Rise in 'Dr. Shin' as Jeong I-chan Confronts Baek Se-ra Over Hidden Miscarriage

Jeong I-chan delivers a slap to Baek Se-ra in a heated confrontation over a hidden miscarriage in 'Dr. Shin'. Meanwhile, the show struggles with ratings, currently at 1%.

In the 8th episode of TV CHOSUN's weekend mini-series 'Dr. Shin', aired on the 5th, Shin Ju-shin (played by Jeong I-chan) finds himself at odds with Momo (played by Baek Se-ra), who possesses the brain of Kim Jin-joo (played by Cheon Young-min), while showing interest in the intelligent and bold Geum Bara (played by Joo Se-bin). The episode recorded a 1.2% viewership rating.

Shin Ju-shin recalls the moment he confided in Geum Bara about the brain change. Geum Bara's immediate rejection of the idea, saying "I don't like it," leaves Shin Ju-shin disheartened. After spending happy moments at a villa, Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) asks Geum Bara to buy a pregnancy test, which reveals two red lines, leaving her stunned. Geum Bara congratulates her, but Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) expresses reluctance, questioning, "Are all mothers happy after giving birth?" and continues to show a negative reaction towards the pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Shin Ju-shin, recalling a moment of subtle emotion when he back-hugged Geum Bara at Ha Yong-jung's (played by Ahn Woo-yeon) house, uses the orphanage as an excuse to meet her. He observes Geum Bara's sharp insights into the orphanage's issues and proposes her as the future director. Shin Ju-shin is reminded of Momo's past words when Geum Bara praises him, and he is pleased with her admirable attitude, promising another meeting.

However, after the brain swap between Momo and Geum Bara, Shin Ju-shin experiences a nightmare involving Geum Bara's face on Momo, a press conference, and people demanding brain surgery, culminating in Kim Jin-joo's arrest for murder. Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) reluctantly informs Shin Ju-shin of the pregnancy, suggesting an abortion due to surgery and antibiotics. After a moment of thought, Shin Ju-shin coldly advises, "They are born healthy. Have it," while embracing Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain).

As Geum Bara takes on Momo's tasks, she calls Ha Yong-jung, recalling her past crush on him during their orphanage days. Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) throws flirtatious glances at Ha Yong-jung, who is shocked to learn of Momo's pregnancy during an ultrasound visit with Shin Ju-shin. Geum Bara is upset by Ha Yong-jung's concern for Momo, and he confesses his confusion about Momo's pregnancy to Geum Bara, who admits her frustration over his attention to Momo.

After confirming the pregnancy via ultrasound, Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) feels empowered, thinking, "Now I hold the knife," but Shin Ju-shin dismisses her, comparing her to Geum Bara. Later, Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) casually mentions a miscarriage, angering Shin Ju-shin, who accuses her of lying and slaps her.

Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) asserts her dignity, demanding respect from Shin Ju-shin, who apologizes. However, Momo (with Kim Jin-joo's brain) insists on being treated as the old Kim Jin-joo, ignoring Shin Ju-shin's warning to "stop scheming," which only increases the tension.

Towards the end of episode 8, Ha Yong-jung finally confesses his feelings to Geum Bara, moving her to tears. He prepares a bouquet and cake for a beach outing, expressing his changed feelings, "You're no longer a kid, and I've started seeing you differently," leaving Geum Bara emotional. The episode ends with a hint of a mutual romance between Ha Yong-jung and Geum Bara, sparking curiosity about their future as a couple.
