Comedian Lee Guk-joo has shared the realities of her life in Tokyo.

On the October 5th episode of SBS's variety show 'My Ugly Duckling,' Lee Guk-joo's apartment in Japan was revealed. Actors Choi Jin-hyuk and Yoon Hyun-min visited her home, offering a glimpse into her daily life.

Introducing her home, Lee Guk-joo mentioned, "The rent is about 130,000 won." However, the space was much smaller than expected. When asked if she had a sofa, she replied, "I sleep only on the sofa without a bed," surprising everyone.

The cramped space led to some discomfort. Yoon Hyun-min, standing close by, almost stumbled when their bodies bumped, and the sink was so small that it was difficult to fit even a single soup bowl.

Lee Guk-joo candidly shared why she started living in Tokyo. She said, "Last year was a slow season for work, and I was mentally exhausted. I thought, 'Why not take a break and create some content while I'm at it?'"

When asked about the language barrier, she humorously admitted, "I can't speak Japanese," drawing laughter. She also confessed, "I've cried because it's so cramped," sharing her realistic struggles.

Meanwhile, Lee Guk-joo previously revealed her reasons for moving to Japan on her YouTube channel in April last year, which garnered significant attention. She stated, "I'm turning 40, and next year marks my 20th anniversary since debuting. I wanted to take on a new challenge." She added, "Instead of just waiting for work to come in during slow periods, I decided to try something new," expressing her aspirations.
