SeeYa Reunites After 15 Years: Nam Gyu-ri Shares Emotional Journey and Gratitude to Fans
On September 29, Nam Gyu-ri's official YouTube channel 'Nam Gyu-ri's Gyul-mong' uploaded a video titled 'Ep.40 Nevertheless, We Are SeeYa | SeeYa Nam Gyu-ri, Kim Yeon-ji, Lee Bo-ram Vlog.'
In the video, Nam Gyu-ri, with an excited expression, shared, "After 15 years, we are releasing a SeeYa album," as she headed to meet fellow members Kim Yeon-ji and Lee Bo-ram. The trio, reunited after a long time, enjoyed a meal together and celebrated their 20th debut anniversary, showcasing their strong bond and chemistry.
Nam Gyu-ri confessed, "Regardless of the reasons, the fact that you waited for us and gave us immense love is something I feel I can never fully repay, even until I die." She added, "It is because of the fans' love that we exist and can continue. Although we can't give back everything we've received, we will continue to repay you throughout our lives."
The members visited a subway billboard prepared by fans to celebrate their 20th anniversary. As they read the letters from fans through a QR code on the billboard, they couldn't hide their overwhelming emotions, touching the hearts of viewers. The latter part of the video introduced their pre-released song 'Nevertheless, We Are,' which was released on September 30.
Nam Gyu-ri shared her deep affection for the new song, saying, "The lyrics, 'Not a flower of a moment, but a tree that endures seasons,' and 'Learning how to bloom late,' resonated with our situation and brought me to tears during recording."
She urged, "As much as you've waited, we will come back with emotional songs and music that tell SeeYa's story. Like the lyrics 'Nevertheless, we will end up singing,' we promise to keep singing and showing you more of us, so please continue to love us." Nam Gyu-ri, who shares diverse and candid daily life through her YouTube channel 'Gyul-mong,' is now returning to her main career as a singer, gearing up for full-fledged activities.
