Hwang In-yeop to Make Special Appearance in JTBC's New Drama 'Human X Gumiho'

Actor Hwang In-yeop is set to make a special appearance in JTBC's upcoming drama 'Human X Gumiho'. Previously, Hwang gained attention for his chemistry with actress Kim Yoo-jung in the TVING series 'Dear X', which concluded in December last year.

'Human X Gumiho' is a fantasy romantic comedy that explores the mysterious intersection of a seductive mythical creature and a human who attracts such beings. Hwang In-yeop will portray the character Sam, known as the nemesis of the gumiho.

Sam is a character who has harbored animosity towards Gu Ja-hong for a millennium due to a past incident, adding tension to the storyline with his intense presence. This role marks Hwang's first portrayal of a villain since his debut, showcasing a new side of his acting skills. Hwang expressed his excitement, stating, "I am honored to be part of such a wonderful project. I believe I can show various new aspects through this villain character. Please look forward to it."

Meanwhile, Hwang In-yeop is also set to star in the upcoming ENA drama 'To You', scheduled to air in the second half of 2026. In this series, he will play Woo Soo-bin, a genius film director who returns to the present to become who he is meant to be.

'Human X Gumiho', featuring Hwang In-yeop's special appearance, is slated to premiere in the first half of 2027.
