Mnet Plus announced that the teaser for 'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base,' released on Wednesday, surpassed 4.5 million views across major social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok within just one day. Additionally, the pre-launch teaser content, released sequentially since January, has accumulated over 15 million views, proving the show's hot topic status even before its official release.
Lee Dae-hwi shared, "I burst into tears in front of the refrigerator as soon as the teaser dropped on New Year's Day," expressing his overwhelming emotions. Kim Jae-hwan also revealed, "I can't count how many times I've replayed the short video," showing his deep affection. Hwang Min-hyun noted, "I realized there are still many people who miss Wanna One," while Park Woo-jin expressed his heartfelt feelings towards fans, saying, "As expected, Wannables loved it so much." Ha Sung-woon added, "Whenever we meet privately, we always talk about 'Wanna One Go,'" heightening anticipation for their reality show return.
The members reminisced about iconic moments from the past 'Wanna One Go,' such as chicken fights and mafia games, unanimously agreeing, "We definitely need to play the mafia game again." They also shared various ideas for the new season, including travel, exercise, pet introductions, and extreme sports, showcasing their enduring chemistry.
Since January, Mnet Plus has been releasing teaser content hinting at Wanna One's return every month on the 1st at 11:11 AM, building anticipation among fans. Starting with the message "Let's meet again," heartfelt messages to Wannables and videos of past activities have been shared, rekindling Wanna One's narrative and eliciting enthusiastic responses from long-awaiting fans.
With such a strong buzz from the teaser stage, 'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base' is set to capture the journey of the members reuniting after seven years, laughing, playing, and creating new memories at the new 'Wanna Base.' Beyond a simple reunion, this reality show is expected to mark the beginning of a new chapter for Wanna One.
'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base' will premiere on April 28th (Tuesday) at 6 PM on Mnet Plus, followed by a sequential release on Mnet at 8 PM.
