Park Seo-joon Transforms into a Notorious Villain in Disney+ Series 'I Am a Criminal'

In January, Park Seo-joon charmed audiences with his romantic role alongside Won Ji-an in 'Waiting for Rain.' Now, he's set to take on a darker persona as a notorious villain.

Park Seo-joon has begun filming for Disney+'s original series 'I Am a Criminal,' where he will be at the heart of an intense noir drama. Set in the lawless cities of the 1980s during a redevelopment frenzy, 'I Am a Criminal' follows the story of 'Paeng-i,' a devil of the era who races towards his goals, and 'Saeng-dak,' a survivalist gang member. Together, they embark on a life-changing, high-stakes heist in this crime action noir.

In the series, Park Seo-joon plays 'Paeng-i,' a character embodying the era's desires and a villain like no other. 'Paeng-i' emerges amidst the redevelopment chaos, shaking up the scene and drawing others into his drug business, becoming the epicenter of turmoil. Known for his unique ability to adapt to diverse roles, Park Seo-joon promises a rough and destructive transformation in this new project.

Park Seo-joon has built an impressive filmography across various genres. From delivering compelling emotional performances in romantic dramas like 'Fight for My Way,' 'What's Wrong with Secretary Kim,' and 'Waiting for Rain,' to anchoring intense narratives in series like 'Itaewon Class,' 'Gyeongseong Creature,' and the film 'Concrete Utopia,' he has consistently elevated genre tension. Anticipation is high for Park Seo-joon's new performance in 'I Am a Criminal.'
