Korean Diva Insooni Reflects on Daughter's Tragic Accident and Shares Heartwarming Stories on 'Joseon's Love Guru'
In the episode aired on the 30th, Insooni made a special guest appearance in the studio.
In a VCR segment, Insooni and her husband surprised everyone by saying, "Even if we were reborn, we wouldn't meet the same person again." However, Insooni's husband touched hearts with his confession, "I hope she meets someone better than me." He also credited his wife for supporting him to stand firm at the age of 50, adding warmth to the show.
Shin Ji-hye shared a touching story about Insooni, who gave her matured savings account to the chorus team during the COVID-19 pandemic when work was scarce. Shin expressed her gratitude, saying, "It was life-saving. My kids were young then..." Kim Sung-hee also recalled a time when Insooni offered her home when she had nowhere to stay due to a scheduling conflict. The heartwarming stories prompted Choi Sung-kook to jokingly ask Kim Guk-jin if he had secretly saved a savings account for them, to which Kim replied, "Wait and see," causing laughter.
Insooni's daughter, Park Se-in, recounted a parking lot accident in the U.S. that resulted in the loss of her finger. Despite undergoing seven surgeries in Korea, she ultimately lost her left pinky finger. Insooni's husband reflected on the incident, saying, "Depending on how you think about it, if she had been caught or injured elsewhere... we would have gone crazy," with tears in his eyes. In an interview with the production team, Insooni regretted her initial reaction to the news of her daughter's injury, saying, "I'm good at enduring. I didn't realize how hard it was to endure until Se-in got hurt," shedding tears. Despite considering a prosthetic hand, her daughter confidently wore short sleeves, overcoming her scars. Insooni admired her daughter's resilience, saying, "I realized how strong she is."
Finally, the Insooni family went on a karaoke outing. Insooni picked up the microphone again to redeem herself after scoring 62 points with her hit 'Every Night' last time. Her classics like 'Every Night' and 'Friend' filled the room. Her daughter Se-in's impressive singing skills amazed everyone. Insooni also performed 'For the Love I've Saved', a song she publicly sang as a proposal response to her husband, showcasing her timeless talent.
'Joseon's Love Guru' airs every Monday at 10 PM.
