Jeon Somi Opens Up About JYP's Unique Training Programs, Including Sex Education

K-pop star Jeon Somi recently shared insights into the training programs she underwent as a trainee at JYP Entertainment, including a unique sex education course.

In a teaser video released by SBS's 'But Seriously!', Jeon Somi appeared as a guest, discussing her experiences during her trainee days with the show's hosts.

Comedian Lee Soo-ji mentioned that JYP's trainee curriculum includes a whopping 67 different courses. Jeon Somi elaborated, saying she received training in character education, sex education, and hacking prevention, among others.

When broadcaster Lee Sang-min asked if there were any courses she found ineffective, Jeon Somi humorously pointed out the sex education course. She remarked, "I had already received thorough sex education at home. From my perspective, JYP's course seemed to skip over the important parts."

The conversation then shifted to a debate among the guests about the past locations of entertainment company buildings. EXO's Kai claimed that the former JYP building was near a donut shop in a dining area. Jeon Somi countered, "We were located on the main street of Cheongdam, while SM was slightly off the main path."

Kai emphasized the strategic location of the SM building and shared anecdotes about the atmosphere among trainees at the time. He added, "When we went out to eat, JYP trainees would come down grooving to the music. It made us suddenly feel the need to step up our game."
