Lee Yeon-hee Shares Her Marriage Story on 'My Little Old Boy'

Actress Lee Yeon-hee revealed the story behind her marriage announcement, which was initially dismissed as a joke, on the SBS variety show 'My Little Old Boy'.

On the episode aired on the 29th, Lee Yeon-hee appeared as a special MC. Her appearance was met with admiration from the show's mothers, who exclaimed, "She's really beautiful. So pretty."

Lee, who is from SM Entertainment, shared, "I spent my trainee days with Kim Hee-chul. Even back then, he had a unique taste and was surrounded by many female friends."

Shin Dong-yup joked, "Hee-chul is consistent," to which Lee responded, "He was good at talking and got along well with women. I was quite shy and reserved back then, but he made me feel comfortable and even bought me meals."

Seo Jang-hoon warned the mothers, "You might be interested in female guests, so let me tell you in advance that Lee Yeon-hee is married." When Heo Kyung-hwan's mother expressed regret, Shin Dong-yup humorously added, "Even if Lee Yeon-hee were single, I don't think she'd end up with Kyung-hwan."

Lee Yeon-hee is already in her seventh year of marriage and is a mother to a 19-month-old daughter. Seo Jang-hoon mentioned, "There's a comment saying that Lee Yeon-hee's husband must have saved a country in his past life," to which Lee smiled and said, "My husband says he's used up all his luck on me."

Before their marriage, Lee's husband told his friends he was dating Lee Yeon-hee, but no one believed him until he introduced her in person. Lee confidently added, "Even when they saw me, they still seemed skeptical."

Shin Dong-yup humorously empathized with Lee's husband, saying, "If you tell your friends, 'I'm getting married to Lee Yeon-hee,' they'd probably respond with all sorts of disbelief."

Lee Yeon-hee entered the entertainment industry after winning the grand prize at the 2nd SM Youth Best Contest in 2001, overcoming odds of 8000 to 1. She married a man two years her senior in 2020 and gave birth to their first daughter two years ago.
