'Brave Detectives 5' Returns with New Hosts and Gripping Cases
'Brave Detectives 5' is back with new hosts and even more thrilling cases. The new season sees the departure of former hosts Kim Shin-young and Lee Yi-kyung, the latter of whom was embroiled in a personal scandal last year.

The first episode, airing on the 27th on T-Cast's E Channel, is directed by Lee Ji-sun and features Ahn Jung-hwan and Kwon Il-yong alongside new hosts Kwak Sun-young and Yoon Doo-joon. Detective Kim Myeon-jung and former Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency's forensic team leader Kim Hee-sook will also appear to share their investigative experiences.

The first case of 'Brave Detectives 5' revisits a promise kept by Detective Kim Myeon-jung from three years ago. It involves the 2019 case of Lee Eun-hae, who, along with her lover, plotted to kill her husband for insurance money by pushing him off a cliff. As Lee Eun-hae and Cho Hyun-soo fled, Detective Kim led the manhunt. The episode will reveal the identity of the accomplice who aided their escape and the hidden truths behind their capture.

The 'high-end investigation log' of the KCSI forensic team trio continues in Season 5. Team leader Kim Hee-sook, known as the 'fingerprint expert,' recounts the cases of serial killers Yoo Young-chul and Jung Nam-gyu. The KCSI case begins with a frantic call reporting a mother and brother found bleeding in their home. Both victims were discovered in the brother's room, where the initial attack and subsequent murder occurred.

A week after the incident, a heavily intoxicated man calls the police, claiming he wants to speak with them. This tip could be the key to solving the case. Upon hearing the details, Yoon Doo-joon expressed his outrage, saying, "How could someone do such a thing..." The identity of the brutal criminal who destroyed a family and their shocking statement will be unveiled on 'Brave Detectives 5.'

'Brave Detectives 5' airs every Friday at 9:50 PM and is available on major OTT platforms like Netflix, TVING, and Wavve. Viewers can also find updates and videos on E Channel's official YouTube and Instagram.

Expanding the universe of 'Brave Detectives,' E Channel's original web variety show 'Detective Talk' delves into behind-the-scenes stories of investigations, major crime cases, and real-life stories of executed criminals in South Korea. It is released every Friday at 7 PM on the YouTube channel 'Detective Talk.'
