Bae Yeon-jeong Opens Up About Severe Aftereffects Following Pancreatic Surgery
Bae Yeon-jeong has candidly shared the severe aftereffects she experienced following her pancreatic surgery.

On the October 25th episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Perfect Life,' Bae Yeon-jeong appeared with her husband, Kim Do-man, to update viewers on her current condition.

She explained, “The pancreas is 18cm, but I had 13cm of it removed.” She continued, “Every time I ate, it felt like my stomach was being torn apart,” conveying the intense pain she endured.

After the surgery, her health rapidly deteriorated. Bae Yeon-jeong stated, “For four years, all my muscles wasted away, and I felt like a wobbly octopus when standing.”

There were times when even daily activities were challenging. She revealed, “I would fall over if I stood up, so my husband carried me around for four years,” astonishing viewers.

The aftereffects continued. Bae Yeon-jeong shared, “After removing part of my pancreas, I developed diabetes and have to inject insulin into my abdomen. This has been ongoing for 26 years now.”

She added, “I developed an obsession with staying healthy to prevent further deterioration and complications.”

Her husband, Kim Do-man, expressed, “I want to live a long and healthy life with my wife,” while Bae Yeon-jeong noted, “We didn’t get along well initially, but our relationship improved after I got sick.”
