Actor Kim Sung-soo Meets Future Mother-in-Law in Ulsan on 'Groom Class 2'

Actor Kim Sung-soo (52) travels to Ulsan, the hometown of his fiancée, show host Park So-yoon, who is 12 years his junior, to meet her mother for the first time.

The second episode of Channel A's 'Groom Class 2' (CP Bae Han-soo/PD Lim Jung-kyu), airing on the night of the 26th at 10 PM, will feature the second day of Kim Sung-soo and Park So-yoon's '1 Night 2 Days' date in Yeongdeok.

Previously, the couple had a disagreement over the 'pace of physical affection' but eventually succeeded in holding hands, raising the excitement level. On the morning of the second day, they travel from Yeongdeok to Ulsan to visit Park So-yoon's mother's pork rib restaurant. Kim Sung-soo humorously remarks, "My first bucket list item for 2026 is to eat 10 servings of pork ribs at So-yoon's mother's restaurant, and it's finally starting," adding, "I'm on a diet, so I'll have to visit multiple times," which brings a smile to Park So-yoon's face.

However, upon spotting Park So-yoon's mother inside the restaurant, Kim Sung-soo makes a hasty retreat. Gathering his nerves, he returns to the restaurant and awkwardly greets her. As an awkward silence ensues, customers begin to arrive, and Kim Sung-soo naturally takes on the role of serving. His friendly 'small talk' with the customers showcases his 'sweet' side, prompting Park So-yoon's mother to comment, "He works well," with satisfaction.

Once the customers leave, the trio has some time alone, and Park So-yoon's mother cautiously asks, "What do you like about my daughter?" She also inquires if Kim Sung-soo has considered marriage while her daughter steps out briefly. All eyes are on Kim Sung-soo to see how he responds to his 'future mother-in-law's' question.

Meanwhile, 'Principal' Lee Seung-chul showers Kim Sung-soo with praise for working diligently alongside Park So-yoon's mother. He shares, "Meeting in the midst of work like this is nice. I first met my son-in-law at a concert," and adds, "After a quick introduction, I took him to an after-party, and we became comfortable quickly," sharing his own experience.
