'I Am SOLO' Episode 30: Tears and Tension on Final Selection Day
Airing on October 25 at 10:30 PM, SBS Plus and ENA's reality dating show 'I Am SOLO' will reveal the last romantic moments of the 'Egenam-Tetokyo Special' singles before their final choices.
On the last night at 'Solonara 30', Young-ho and Young-sook sit alone in their accommodation. Instead of sweet exchanges, they share cold stares, prompting MC Defconn to comment, "It's like a match between Pacquiao and Mayweather," expressing his tension. Young-ho starts by saying, "We both have strong personalities. If we date, it won't just be a big fight, it'll be a total mess." He then asks, "Is there room for compromise?" Young-sook responds, "Maybe we shouldn't start at all. You come at me with a fork, so I draw my knife." Young-ho further questions, "Is there a way to avoid picking up the fork?" leaving Young-sook in contemplation.
Young-soo finds himself torn between Ok-soon, who has been straightforward with her feelings, and Young-ja, whom he still has lingering feelings for. During a 'super date' chosen by Ok-soon, she confesses in the car, "I was so nervous about tomorrow's 'final selection' that I thought of calling my dad." Young-soo replies, "We can go together," making Ok-soon's heart flutter. At a wine bar, they share a deep conversation, gazing at each other with a genuine couple vibe. Ok-soon bravely asks, "Should I not call my dad tomorrow?" to which Young-soo smiles and says, "I don't think you need to." However, upon returning to the accommodation, Ok-soon is shocked to learn about a secret conversation between Young-soo and Young-ja.
As the day of the 'final selection' arrives, the single men each employ their 'sealing strategies'. Young-sik prepares a letter for Young-ja, while Young-chul organizes a personalized event for Jung-sook to convey his true feelings. The singles open up about their feelings, shedding tears as they do. Viewers are eager to see if the romances of Episode 30 will come to fruition.
The episode aired on October 18 recorded an average viewership rating of 4.1% (based on Nielsen Korea's metropolitan area paid households for SBS Plus and ENA combined), with peak ratings reaching 4.5%. 'I Am SOLO' also ranked first in its target demographic of 'Men and Women 2049' with a rating of 1.84%.
