Seohyun Woo Shines as a Villain in 'Climax', Captivating Audiences with Intense Performance
Seohyun Woo made a special appearance in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax', leaving a strong impression and driving the narrative in the first half. 'Climax' is a story about prosecutor Bang Tae-seop (played by Joo Ji-hoon) who enters a cartel to seize the highest power in South Korea, and the fierce survival stories of those around him. Seohyun Woo appears as Oh Kwang-jae, a former influential film producer, captivating viewers with his impactful presence from the first episode.
In episode 1, he appears in a flashback of actress Choo Sang-ah (played by Ha Ji-won), intensifying the tension by forcing her into sexual favors. In episodes 3 and 4, his past actions are revealed, increasing the immersion. He was the one who made Choo Sang-ah a top star and was the starting point of all secrets and tragedies.
However, it is later revealed by Bang Tae-seop that Oh Kwang-jae's death was actually a contract killing ordered by Kwon Se-myung (played by Kim Hong-pa). This revelation also brings Bang Tae-seop closer to Choo Sang-ah, adding to the shock.
Despite limited screen time, Seohyun Woo vividly portrayed the character's greed and intimidation, leading the first half of the drama. His mere presence shook the flow of the story, and his confrontational scenes with Ha Ji-won left audiences breathless with tension.
Seohyun Woo continues to captivate viewers by completing consecutive villain characters with different nuances. Anticipation builds for what he will showcase next.
