Go Ah-sung to Host SNL Korea Season 8 Episode 2: A Bold Comedy Debut
Renowned actress Go Ah-sung is set to host the second episode of Coupang Play's comedy show Season 8, marking her first foray into live comedy on April 4th. As a trusted actress with 22 years of experience, all eyes are on her to see what kind of bold transformation she will bring to the stage.
Coupang Play's is South Korea's leading comedy show, known for its daring and bold humor with top-tier stars and a reliable crew. Go Ah-sung, who debuted in 2004, has accepted the challenge to appear on Season 8.
Go Ah-sung rose to fame with her impressive performance in Bong Joon-ho's 2006 film "The Host," quickly becoming a "ten million actress." Her diverse acting range has been showcased in films like "Snowpiercer," Cannes Film Festival invitee "Office," the emotionally stirring "A Resistance," the comedic "Samjin Company English Class," and her first melodrama "Pavane." She has solidified her reputation as a "trustworthy actress" with her versatile performances.
As the host of Season 8, Go Ah-sung is expected to captivate viewers with a completely different and bold transformation on her first live comedy stage. Known for her perfect Seoul dialect in the drama "Life on Mars" and her unexpected charm in the variety show "Edward Lee's Country Cook," Go Ah-sung is anticipated to create memorable moments on Season 8.
Go Ah-sung expressed her excitement, saying, "I never imagined I would be on stage as a host for Season 8. It's my first time doing live comedy, so I'm both nervous and thrilled. In addition to Go Ah-sung's bold performance, Season 8 Episode 2 "Go Ah-sung Special" will feature comedy masters Shin Dong-yup, Jung Sang-hoon, Jung Sung-ho, Kim Min-kyo, Ahn Young-mi, Jung Yi-rang, Lee Soo-ji, Kwon Hyuk-soo, Kim Won-hoon, Ji Ye-eun, Kim Kyu-won, and new crew members, promising an exceptional synergy. The episode will air on April 4th at 8 PM.
Meanwhile, the first episode of Season 8, featuring host Tak Jae-hoon, will be released on March 28th at 8 PM. Both Coupang Wow members and general members can watch for free.
