Love Triangle Unfolds in TV CHOSUN's 'Doctor Shin': A Medical Thriller with Unexpected Twists

TV CHOSUN's weekend mini-series 'Doctor Shin' captures the intriguing love triangle between Jung Yi-chan, Baek Se-ra, and Ahn Woo-yeon.

Premiering on the 14th, 'Doctor Shin' (written by Phoebe, Im Sung-han) is a medical thriller drama about a genius doctor challenging the realm of the divine and a woman losing her soul after a sudden brain injury.

Brain Change Surgery After Momo's Coma

In the previous episode, genius doctor Shin Ju-shin (played by Jung Yi-chan) begins a fateful romance with top actress Momo (played by Baek Se-ra), who falls into a coma after an accident. Momo's mother, Hyun Ran-hee (played by Song Ji-in), requests a brain change surgery from Shin Ju-shin, drawing attention to its outcome.

Amidst this, the 'precarious love triangle' involving Jung Yi-chan, Baek Se-ra, and successful game developer Ahn Woo-yeon, a billionaire, heightens the tension. During the 'Night of Gratitude' event at the Nua Foundation orphanage, Ha Yong-jung (played by Ahn Woo-yeon) is seen playing the contrabass. Momo suddenly dances provocatively towards Ha Yong-jung on stage, leaving him flustered yet unable to look away. Witnessing this suggestive atmosphere, Shin Ju-shin's shocked gaze raises curiosity about the trio's future relationship.

Perfect Harmony in Emotional Acting

Jung Yi-chan, Baek Se-ra, and Ahn Woo-yeon portray the subtle emotional shifts in the 'love triangle' scene. Jung Yi-chan captures Shin Ju-shin's shock at seeing his lover Momo with his friend Ha Yong-jung through a stoic expression and intense gaze. Baek Se-ra adds depth to Momo's character, hinting at hidden intentions, while Ahn Woo-yeon delicately expresses Ha Yong-jung's confusion and attraction. The trio's perfect emotional synergy creates a convincing scene.
