Actor Kim Nam-gil Embarks on a Silent Retreat Amidst Busy Schedule

Actor Kim Nam-gil is currently on a silent retreat.

On October 14, the YouTube channel '뜬뜬' uploaded a video titled '100-Minute Talk is Just an Excuse.' The video featured actors Joo Ji-hoon, Kim Nam-gil, and Yoon Kyung-ho as guests.

During the show, Kim Nam-gil mentioned, "I apologize, but I thought I should communicate using a sketchbook today," revealing, "I'm currently on a silent retreat."

Yoo Jae-suk asked, "Why are you on a silent retreat?" to which Kim Nam-gil humorously replied, "I've been talking too much lately, even my parents are getting tired." Yoon Kyung-ho then commented, "I heard your fan meeting lasted five hours," to which Kim Nam-gil clarified, "People misunderstand. It wasn't because I talked a lot. I didn't even talk much that day."

Kim Nam-gil recalled, "Initially, I tried to wrap up the event in one or two hours, but fans insisted, 'No, we want more.' After five hours, the mood shifted to 'Should we go home? We need to catch the last train.' It was a very relaxed atmosphere; people came and went freely, especially those from out of town who needed to catch the last train."

He added, "There was even a rumor about kidnapping because a mother waiting for her daughter at the fan meeting asked, 'Mr. Nam-gil, are you going to let my daughter go today?' Joo Ji-hoon saw this and said, 'Hyung, shouldn't you at least feed them?'" Yoon Kyung-ho expressed surprise, "Five hours is a bit much," and Kim Nam-gil explained, "It's not five hours of me just talking. It's a variety of activities."
