Actor Kim Nam-gil expressed surprise at the success of the film 'The Man Living with the King'.

During the video, Kim Nam-gil discussed his upcoming project 'Dream of the Peach Blossom Land', explaining, “It's currently a hot topic alongside Director Jang Hang-jun's 'The Man Living with the King'. I play the role of Sejo in it.” He added, “Our film also features Danjong, and Park Bo-gum plays Anpyeong Daegun.”

He further commented, “In 'Dream of the Peach Blossom Land', we tried not to objectify Suyang Daegun, but 'The Man Living with the King' has overshadowed that effort. It's not just about the film's outcome; the stories and universes are similar, which contributes to this issue.”
Yoo Jae-suk noted, “It seems Nam-gil is concerned about the gap between the audience's perception of Sejo, influenced by the success of 'The Man Living with the King', and the character he wants to portray.”
