Comedian Lee Hwi-jae Returns to TV with 'Immortal Songs' After Four-Year Hiatus
Comedian Lee Hwi-jae is set to make his return to television today (16th) by participating in the recording of 'Immortal Songs'. However, he did not appear on the way to the studio.

Lee Hwi-jae will be part of the recording for KBS2's variety show 'Immortal Songs' at the KBS New Building Public Hall in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. This marks his first TV appearance in about four years since stepping down as the host of KBS 2TV's entertainment news program 'Live Info Show' in April 2022. Despite his return, he did not pose for photos on his way to the studio.

In recent years, Lee Hwi-jae has been involved in controversies, including a noise dispute with neighbors and allegations against his wife, Moon Jung-won, regarding unpaid amusement park toy fees. Following these events, he moved to Canada with his family, leading to retirement rumors. It is reported that he has been living between Korea and Canada.

The '2026 Entertainment King Special' will air in two parts on the 28th and the 4th of next month.
