'I Am Solo' Star Hyun-sook Reveals Pregnancy Update and Baby's Gender

Hyun-sook from 'I Am Solo' Season 17 has shared an update on her pregnancy, revealing the gender of her baby.

Recently, the 'Dongjak District Office' channel released a video titled "From 'I Am Solo' to Becoming a Mom! Updates from Turtle Mom (feat. Tips from Dongjak Parents)."

In the video, Hyun-sook, who resides in Dongjak District, Seoul, appeared to introduce maternity support programs and share her daily life.

On this day, Hyun-sook was seen at a traditional Korean house cafe. She revealed that she is currently 25 weeks pregnant (at the time of filming) and shared, "Now that I've entered the stable phase, I feel much more at ease." She added, "When I first visited the new office, I was very cautious, but now that I'm in the stable phase, the baby is growing healthily."

Her husband, Sang-cheol from Season 17, was also present at the filming location. Hyun-sook mentioned, "He's like my manager, driving me here and waiting," bringing a smile to her face.

The couple revealed that they are expecting a son, which caught attention. Hyun-sook confessed, "He's a strong son," and admitted, "I was actually hoping for a daughter."

She continued, "When I received the gender results, I just stood still," sharing her honest reaction.

Hyun-sook added, "But now I'm very happy," and shared that they named their second child 'Strawberry,' reflecting their hope for a daughter in the future, as she laughed brightly.

Meanwhile, Hyun-sook appeared on 'I Am Solo' in 2023, where she developed a romantic relationship with Sang-cheol from Season 17. They got married in 2024, and she announced her pregnancy on her personal social media last December. She is due to give birth in June.
