Appearing on the street, Kim Soo-jin introduced herself, saying, "I am Kim Soo-jin, who played the role of Makdong's mother in 'The Man Living with the King.'"
She continued, "As of the video recording, it has surpassed 12 million views at night, achieving an amazing score," and shared her joy, "Everyone said they enjoyed it very much and congratulated me, saying it left a long-lasting impression."

Kim Soo-jin also talked about the filming city of Yeongwol for 'The Man Living with the King.' She said, "Yeongwol is a city with beautiful scenery, and there's a place called 'Eorayeon.' I visited the place where Um Heung-do holds Danjong, and the town itself seems to carry a sense of apology and mourning for Danjong, which we were unaware of."
She praised fellow actors Yoo Hae-jin and Park Ji-hoon, saying, "I was familiar with Yoo Hae-jin from working together on set, but after seeing Park Ji-hoon's performance, I thought it would be a hit after watching the preview."
Regarding the 'most tear-jerking scene,' she said, "I thought he had already made up his mind, but it was a point where many things were at stake, and it seemed like Um Heung-do started to look different, realizing 'it's a human duty to uphold what's right.' I discussed it with the makeup director and shed tears together," adding, "Yoo Hae-jin did an excellent job."
Kim Soo-jin also opened up about her personal struggles, sharing, "When my husband was sick, I called director Jang Hang-jun and confided in him."
Kim Soo-jin expressed her affection for her family, saying, "In 2022, my husband underwent major surgery. Since then, I tried to match hospital hours and prepare meals at home three times a day. Although I do it less now, I believe that while treatment happens at the hospital, cooking is the best I can do for someone I love."
Meanwhile, 'The Man Living with the King,' released on the 4th of last month, tells the story of Um Heung-do, who voluntarily exiled himself to revive the village in Cheongryongpo in 1457, and the young dethroned king Danjong Lee Hong-wi.
