Park Seo-ham Expresses Gratitude as 'I'll Give You the Universe' Nears Finale
On the 12th, 'I'll Give You the Universe' concluded, with Park Seo-ham portraying Park Yoon-sung, the youngest team leader at BS Food, who is both talented and visually appealing. His character engages in a love triangle with his first love Woo Hyun-jin (played by Roh Jeong-eui) and Sun Tae-hyung (played by Bae In-hyuk).
Previously, Park Seo-ham showcased a new side in the Disney+ original drama 'Takryu,' his first historical drama. With 'I'll Give You the Universe,' he once again proved his limitless potential, raising expectations and interest in his future endeavors.
Below is the full Q&A
Q. The final episode of 'I'll Give You the Universe' is about to air. How do you feel about the series ending?
I spent about a year with Park Yoon-sung, including the preparation period before filming began. I vividly remember introducing 'I'll Give You the Universe' as a lovely drama before its first broadcast, and it's hard to believe it's already the end. I'm truly grateful to all the staff, actors, and viewers who were part of 'I'll Give You the Universe'!
Q. Did you pay special attention to any aspects, both externally and internally, to portray the character 'Park Yoon-sung'?
Before filming, the staff told me that Yoon-sung had to be a 'cool' person, and I was most concerned about how to express the coolness everyone envisioned for Park Yoon-sung. I had many discussions with the director to capture not only the external aspects but also Yoon-sung's inner self. Even during filming, I exchanged opinions with the director to portray Park Yoon-sung's solid exterior and interior without overdoing it.
Q. Park Yoon-sung's 'straightforward romance' became a hot topic. What do you think is the most attractive aspect of the Park Yoon-sung character?
I think the most attractive aspect of Park Yoon-sung is his honesty and sincerity about his feelings. After reuniting with his first love, which he couldn't achieve in the past, he confesses his feelings and consistently expresses his emotions in his own way, which I believe is very characteristic of Park Yoon-sung.
Q. How was the chemistry with your co-stars Roh Jeong-eui and Bae In-hyuk, who formed the love triangle?
They are actors with more experience than me, so I received a lot of help and learned a lot throughout the filming. Thanks to their positive energy, the atmosphere on set was always bright, allowing me to film comfortably.
Q. Is there a scene that stands out in your memory?
I remember the first appearance scene that showcased Yoon-sung's perfect and cold personality. I prepared for it, thinking it was a scene that needed to clearly show 'this is who Park Yoon-sung is,' including the cooking scene and the subsequent lines. The flashback scenes showing his past with Hyun-jin also stand out, as they depict a cute and lovely side of college student Park Yoon-sung, different from his current self.
Q. Can you share any filming episodes with Park Yoo-ho, who played Woo-joo?
Since I had less time to spend with Yoo-ho compared to In-hyuk and Jeong-eui, it took more time to get close. Initially, Yoo-ho seemed unfamiliar when I approached, and I was worried, but I heard that children are often afraid of tall people. So, I tried to lower my body and give gifts, making my own efforts. (laughs) Later, Yoo-ho would come to me first, hug me, or fall asleep in my arms, and those moments were truly happy. Thanks to Yoo-ho, the set was always filled with love!
Q. Through this project, did you discover any new aspects of yourself as 'actor Park Seo-ham' or feel any growth?
Since I don't have much experience yet, everything is new. Through 'I'll Give You the Universe' and the character Park Yoon-sung, I learned and felt a lot, and I think I need to grow and show even more new sides.
Q. Lastly, could you say a word to the viewers of 'I'll Give You the Universe'?
Thank you sincerely for watching 'I'll Give You the Universe' and sending so much interest and support. I will strive to greet you with even better appearances in the future. Please stay with us until the final episode of 'I'll Give You the Universe,' and always be happy! Thank you.
