Emotional Reunion: Lee Sung-kyung and Chae Jong-hyeop Confirm Their Feelings in 'Your Glorious Season'
In the sixth episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Your Glorious Season' (directed by Jeong Sang-hee, Kim Young-jae/written by Jo Sung-hee), which aired on the 13th, viewers were thrilled as Sun Woo-chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop) and Song Ha-ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung) dramatically reunited after losing contact when Woo-chan left for the United States.
In this episode, Sun Woo-chan had to leave for the U.S. urgently due to internal issues at Can Animation Studio. Before his departure, he left a message for Song Ha-ran on the plane, but it was never sent as the phone switched to airplane mode.
After the sudden separation, Song Ha-ran began to deeply feel Woo-chan's absence. The news that a major decision-maker at Can Animation Studio had been replaced, putting ongoing projects at risk, only heightened her anxiety. As everyone, including Park Man-jae (played by Kang Seok-woo) and the designers at Nana Atelier, felt Woo-chan's absence, Ha-ran realized her growing affection for him. Despite trying to focus on a new project, her longing for him didn't subside easily.
Meanwhile, a crisis also hit the relationship between Song Ha-dam (played by Oh Ye-ju) and Cha Yoo-gyeom (played by Kim Tae-young). Ha-dam found Yoo-gyeom's tumbler in Kim Nana's (played by Lee Mi-sook) study and was convinced he was lying to her again. Recalling a previous incident with Han So-ra, Ha-dam believed Kim Nana was opposing their marriage and threatening Yoo-gyeom. Caught in deepening misunderstandings, Yoo-gyeom faced a breakup crisis with Ha-dam.
Kim Nana visited a university hospital for a dementia screening but had to leave urgently after discovering a critical mistake in an overseas export coat sample. After resolving the issue, she returned home alone, shedding tears as she looked at clothes on a mannequin in a shop window. The moment when Kim Nana, who had maintained her name as a designer and been a strong support for her three granddaughters, realized her changes left a lasting impression.
During this, Park Man-jae witnessed Kim Nana leaving the hospital in a hurry. He later contacted her to return a hat she dropped at the hospital, putting Nana in a tense situation as her secret was at risk of being exposed.
On the day of the dinner she had promised with Woo-chan, Ha-ran found a reservation reminder she hadn't canceled. Jeremy (played by Jang Yong-won) suggested they go together, but he left suddenly, leaving Ha-ran alone at the restaurant. As the first snow began to fall, Woo-chan appeared in front of the surprised Ha-ran, who embraced him in relief.
With her tension relieved, Ha-ran fell asleep in the restaurant, and Woo-chan's affectionate gaze at her brought excitement to viewers. The moment when Woo-chan appeared during the first snow, which Ha-ran disliked, turned a sad memory into a new one. Their 'glorious romance' brought deep excitement.
At the end of the episode, as Woo-chan headed back to the airport to retrieve his left luggage, Ha-ran followed him. She confessed, "I regretted disappearing suddenly," and "I don't want to regret it again." She added, "Can I openly treat you much better? I'll start today," leading Woo-chan to finally express his feelings and embrace her. Their 'rescue hug' ending confirmed their feelings for each other, raising viewers' heart rates to the maximum.
Meanwhile, the seventh episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Your Glorious Season' will air on the 14th at 9:40 PM with an extended runtime.
