Lee Sona Expresses Gratitude to Husband Kang Sang-jun After Winning 'Miss Trot 4'
On the afternoon of the 13th, a press conference for the top 5 contestants of MBN's variety show 'Miss Trot 4' was held at TV Chosun's Gasan Studio in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. Attendees included Lee Sona, Heo Chan-mi, Hong Sung-yoon, as well as fourth and fifth place winners, Gil Ryeo-won and Yoon Tae-hwa.
Previously, during the finals, the camera captured Lee Sona's parents and her husband Kang Sang-jun in the audience, which became a hot topic. Kang Sang-jun, born in 1991, tied the knot with Lee Sona in 2021 after seven years of dating.
Lee Sona shared how she met Kang Sang-jun, saying, "He came as the male lead to the group I was part of during a traditional Korean music performance in my mid-20s." She added, "We started as friends and naturally became a couple." Lee Sona also mentioned, "Thanks to my interest, Kang Sang-jun is receiving a lot of attention," and laughed, "He finds it fascinating."
When Lee Sona won, Kang Sang-jun was overjoyed. Lee Sona said, "He was very happy because he knew the hardships I went through before appearing on 'Miss Trot 4'." She also mentioned, "Kang Sang-jun, who has a background in musicals, is now working more in drama media. He gave me advice on expression techniques that can be used as a musical actor when singing."
Meanwhile, the final episode of 'Miss Trot 4', which aired on the 5th, recorded a nationwide viewership rating of 18.1%, with a peak of 18.4%, setting a record as the number one show across all channels in its time slot for 12 consecutive weeks.
