Yoo Yeon-seok and Yoo Jae-suk Shine in 'Yeonsik's Day' on SBS's 'Anytime'

Yoo Yeon-seok, alongside Yoo Jae-suk, Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho, delivered a perfect 'Yeonsik's Day'.

On the episode of 'Anytime' aired on Tuesday, the show achieved a 2049 viewership rating of 1.8%, securing the top spot in its time slot and ranking first among all programs aired on Tuesday. It has maintained the number one position in its time slot for 12 consecutive weeks and has been the top Tuesday drama-variety show for nine weeks. According to Nielsen Korea's metropolitan area data, the household rating was 3.9%, with a peak of 5.2%.

SBS's 'Anytime' is a variety show that gifts luck during brief moments encountered in daily life. In the episode aired on Tuesday, hosts Yoo Jae-suk and Yoo Yeon-seok, along with 'gap friends' actors Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho, showcased their fortune-bringing antics at a composite photo studio and a snack bar near Sejong University.

Yoo Yeon-seok kicked off the show with high energy, reminiscing about his memories in Gunja-dong. With the appearance of his drama 'Shin & Law Office' co-stars Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho, Yoo Jae-suk declared, "Today is Yeonsik's Day," giving a thumbs up. Esom, having received energy from Gwanaksan's Yeonjuam on New Year's Day, added to the excitement, promising great teamwork with Yoo Yeon-seok. Meanwhile, Yoo Jae-suk, Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho united in teasing Yoo Yeon-seok about his 'Sejong University Special Professor' news, humorously calling him "Professor" whenever he mentioned Sejong University.

The first 'gap owner' they visited was the owner of a composite photo studio. The two owners, described as soulmates, showcased their strong bond by spending 16 hours a day together. The first gap mission was 'Coin Film Shoot!', where Esom emerged as an ace, hitting the target with every shot, and, along with Jeon Seok-ho, passed the first stage, heating up the photo studio. Kim Kyung-nam's one-shot-two-kill was followed by Esom's buzzer-beater success in stages two and three, achieving a dramatic victory. Yoo Yeon-seok exclaimed, "It's like she's possessed!" while Jeon Seok-ho enthusiastically remarked, "Now I know why Yeon-seok comes to 'Anytime'."

Yoo Yeon-seok's passionate 'Sejong University nostalgia' had everyone in stitches. He frequently reminisced about his college days, saying, "This is where I used to hang out during college," and "This place has been around for a long time," diving deep into a nostalgic journey. Even while choosing a lunch spot, Yoo Yeon-seok continued his trip down memory lane, prompting Jeon Seok-ho to humorously interrupt with, "(Se)jong University brother! Jong University brother!" Meanwhile, Esom's incredible intuition amazed everyone when she chose a lunch menu that turned out to be the next gap owner's restaurant. Yoo Yeon-seok praised, "Esom's intuition is spot on today," expressing anticipation for the final game.

The second gap owner was the owner of Yoo Yeon-seok's favorite snack bar. The reunion was heartwarming, with the owner sharing fond memories accumulated over 54 years with college students and being a fan of 'Anytime'. The second gap mission was 'Precarious Pot Lid'. Yoo Yeon-seok, more eager than ever, immersed himself in practice. Thanks to the efforts of Yoo Jae-suk, Kim Kyung-nam, and Esom, they succeeded in stages one and two on their third attempt, creating a frenzy. Jeon Seok-ho discovered a trick of blowing on the ping pong ball, encouraging everyone with, "Let's not be embarrassed!" which brought laughter. Unfortunately, they failed the third stage, but Yoo Yeon-seok promised, "I'll visit often!" leaving everyone laughing until the end.

Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, Esom, Kim Kyung-nam, and Jeon Seok-ho showcased incredible chemistry, lighting up 'Yeonsik's Day'. Yoo Yeon-seok shared college memories and created new ones with his favorite restaurant owner, while Esom's 100% success rate in the challenges added a dramatic dopamine rush.
