Actor Hong Seung-beom Reveals Divorce and Introduces New Fiancée

Actor Hong Seung-beom has opened up about his divorce and introduced his live-in girlfriend.

On the October 12th episode of MBN's 'Special World,' Hong Seung-beom, known for his role in 'Couple Clinic: Love and War,' made an appearance.

Hong revealed for the first time that he amicably divorced actress Kwon Young-kyung, whom he appeared with on MBC's 'Oh Eun-young Report: Marriage Hell' in 2023, three years ago.

He stated, "I didn't part ways with my ex-wife on bad terms. We divorced on good terms. I still wish her well." Reflecting on his feelings post-divorce, he confessed, "It was inevitably tough. I smiled when I didn't want to, and couldn't smile when I truly wanted to. I just wanted to die."

Currently residing in Gwangju, Hong is preparing to remarry his new girlfriend. He shared, "She is my fiancée. Meeting a woman from Gwangju led me to settle here. It's like the thirsty digging a well."

Hong mentioned that he took out a loan to acquire an indoor pub, which he now runs with his girlfriend. However, they face opposition from her family. Her mother is not pleased with Hong being a divorced man with a child, compared to her daughter who has never been married.

Despite this, Hong and his girlfriend have been living together for two years. The couple, who first met as an actor and a broadcast official, are planning to marry this year and have already had their wedding photos taken. His girlfriend expressed, "He's seven years older than me and not my usual type, but my heart raced. People say he's 'incompetent' based on his TV appearances, but I think he's a wonderful person who sacrifices for his family."
