KBS 2TV's New Drama 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' Starring Park Sung-woong Premieres Soon
KBS 2TV's new miniseries 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' (directed by Choi Yeon-soo, written by Song Jeong-rim and Wang Hye-ji, produced by Sim Story) is a heartwarming family reboot drama. It follows the urban family of Seong Tae-hoon as they struggle to return to Seoul after being unexpectedly relocated to the quaint yet fierce village of Yeonliri.
The released group poster for 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' captures the unique residents of Yeonliri in a village map concept, sparking interest. The characters are depicted as miniatures, offering a unique experience as if exploring every corner of Yeonliri.
Seong Tae-hoon (played by Park Sung-woong), who arrives in Yeonliri due to a sudden transfer, immediately clashes with village chief Im Joo-hyung (played by Lee Seo-hwan), capturing attention with their antagonistic relationship. The contrast between Seong Tae-hoon, who is seen farming, and Im Joo-hyung, who mocks him, raises curiosity about how their story will unfold.
Seong Tae-hoon's wife, Jo Mi-ryeo (played by Lee Soo-kyung), tries to get closer to Nam Hye-seon (played by Nam Kwon-ah), the real power behind the scenes in Yeonliri and the head of the women's association, by frequenting her Sunny Hair salon and café. It will be interesting to see if the highly adaptable Jo Mi-ryeo can win over Nam Hye-seon, who initially pushes her away. Meanwhile, the contrasting expressions of Seong Tae-hoon's second son, Seong Ji-sang (played by Seo Yoon-hyuk), who is reluctant to go to school, and the cheerful youngest son, Seong Ji-gu (played by Yang Woo-hyuk), bring laughter.
Additionally, the budding romance among the children in the serene and peaceful environment of Yeonliri village draws attention. Seong Tae-hoon and Jo Mi-ryeo's eldest son, Seong Ji-cheon (played by Lee Jin-woo), and Im Joo-hyung and Nam Hye-seon's only daughter, Im Bo-mi (played by Choi Gyu-ri), feel a strong attraction to each other despite their parents' rivalry, adding a touch of excitement. The love triangle involving Seong Ji-cheon, Im Bo-mi, and Park Soon-kyung (played by Choi Woo-jin), who looks on with jealousy, is also anticipated to generate excitement in Yeonliri.
Moreover, various episodes are set to unfold throughout the village, including secret dates between Lee Sun-ja (played by Lee Sun-hee) and Wang Dong-sik (played by Park Seok-won), and the 'Rae Sisters' Lee Deok-rae (played by Kim Geun-ah), Lee Ok-rae (played by Kim Gwak Kyung-hee), and Lee Mak-rae (played by Cha Hee) observing the disputes between Seong Tae-hoon and Im Joo-hyung. Viewers are eager to see how Seong Tae-hoon's family, who suddenly landed in Yeonliri, will adapt and interact with the vibrant residents.
Meanwhile, 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' is directed by Choi Yeon-soo, known for co-directing '24-Hour Fitness Club', 'Crazy Love', and 'The Ballot', and written by Song Jeong-rim, who penned 'Let's Get Married, Mangpong!' and 'Bride of the Typhoon', along with Wang Hye-ji, who wrote 'Romance Without Love'.
KBS 2TV's new miniseries 'Simu-myeon Yeonliri' will premiere on the 26th at 9:50 PM.
