Lee Chung-ah Discusses Her Role and Action Scenes in 'Honor: Her Courtroom'
On the 12th, Lee Chung-ah, who stars in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Honor: Her Courtroom,' was interviewed at a café in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul.
'Honor: Her Courtroom' is a mystery thriller about three female lawyers confronting a massive scandal from their past. Lee Chung-ah plays Hwang Hyun-jin, an action-oriented lawyer at L&J (Listen and Join), a law firm specializing in female crime victims. She stars alongside Lee Na-young and Jung Eun-chae, portraying friends of 20 years.
She added, "Many of the roles I played in my 20s involved martial arts. While filming this time, I thought, 'I haven't lost my touch.' Even though I didn't have much time to practice the jiu-jitsu scenes, everyone was surprised at how well I did on set."
When asked if she referenced any specific works or characters while preparing for Hwang Hyun-jin, she replied, "Rather than referencing a specific character, I tried to study the clues given." Lee Chung-ah noted, "The original story is based on Western perspectives, which differ slightly from Korean ones. So I spent a lot of time thinking about how to interpret and express the case structures and settings."
