Netflix's 'Bloodhounds' Season 2: Intense Showdown with Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, and Rain
'Bloodhounds 2' follows the story of Geon-woo (played by Woo Do-hwan) and Woo-jin (played by Lee Sang-yi) as they take on a global illegal boxing league, delivering another satisfying knockout punch. The character stills have been released.
Woo-jin, now Geon-woo's boxing coach, also draws interest. Having forged a friendship through tough battles in the boxing ring, Woo-jin now supports Geon-woo from outside the ring. Lee Sang-yi noted, "Woo-jin, with his love for boxing, becomes a coach for Geon-woo, and they become inseparable friends, brothers, and family." He hinted at Woo-jin's maturity in Season 2, saying, "If Woo-jin was playful in Season 1, he is now more mature and reliable, driven by the desire to protect his mother and Geon-woo."
Adding explosive tension is Baek-jung (played by Rain), who stands in opposition to Geon-woo and Woo-jin. Driven solely by money, he runs a global illegal boxing league fueled by massive viewership and betting. Rain, taking on his first villain role, described Baek-jung as "a ruthless human weapon without mercy." He emphasized the importance of portraying Baek-jung's instincts, aiming to express sharpness and sensitivity.
The chemistry between Woo Do-hwan, Lee Sang-yi, and the newly joined villain Rain is highly anticipated. Director Kim Joo-hwan shared, "We filmed over 270 episodes with Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi. They are like family, brothers, and mentors. Their deepened bromance was impressive." Regarding Baek-jung, he stated, "If Myeong-gil was the leader of wolves in Season 1, Baek-jung is a giant tiger—hunting alone, fierce, and deadly." He expressed strong trust in Rain, calling him an iconic actor with a commanding aura and physicality.
'Bloodhounds 2' will be available worldwide on Netflix starting April 3.
