Exploring Myeongdong's Iconic Residences with Im Won-hee, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Joo Woo-jae on 'Save Me! Holmes'

On Thursday, the 12th, MBC's 'Save Me! Holmes' will feature actors Im Won-hee, Ahn Jae-hyun, and Joo Woo-jae as they explore the historic district of Myeongdong in Seoul.

The episode brings together Joo Woo-jae and Ahn Jae-hyun, fashion models who dominated Myeongdong in the 2000s, with Im Won-hee, a legendary figure from Seoul Institute of the Arts' class of '90, who remembers Myeongdong's heyday in the 1990s. The trio will explore the iconic Myeongdong street, known for its high real estate value, and delve into the area's residential evolution.

Their journey takes them to the old apartment complexes in Hoehyeon-dong, which have stood for nearly half a century since their construction in the 1970s and 80s, symbolizing Myeongdong's rich history.

The first stop is a citizen apartment built in 1970, now over 55 years old. This 10-story building features a sky bridge, allowing efficient movement without elevators, a groundbreaking design at the time. This apartment, preserving the marks of time, is a well-known filming location for dramas like 'Sweet Home' and movies such as 'Crying Fist' and 'Sympathy for Lady Vengeance'.

Inside, the trio examines the central heating and individual bathrooms, considered state-of-the-art at the time of construction, reminiscing about the era of coal briquettes. Ahn Jae-hyun, known to be single at 38, surprises the studio by recalling, "I used to burn coal briquettes in my childhood," prompting disbelief from Jang Dong-min, Yang Se-hyung, and Yang Se-chan, who immediately challenge his claim. Ahn humorously responds, "My skin is pale because I've never seen the light," adding to the curiosity about whether he will earn their acknowledgment.

The Myeongdong episode of 'Save Me! Holmes' airs on Thursday, the 12th, at 10 PM.
