Inside the Dramatic Love Story of 'I Am Solo' Stars Mr. Kim and Sunja

Mr. Kim and Sunja, stars from the reality show 'I Am Solo,' have opened up about their journey from on-screen partners to real-life lovers, detailing their breakup and eventual reconciliation.

The YouTube channel 'Chonjang Entertainment TV,' operated by ENA and SBS PLUS, recently released a video titled 'The Love Story of Mr. Kim and Sunja from 'I Am Solo.''

In the video, Sunja from the 28th season of 'I Am Solo' and Mr. Kim from 'I Am Solo: The Love Continues' shared their story from their first meeting to their reunion.

Their relationship began at a pop-up event hosted by Youngsoo from the 28th season in early January. Mr. Kim was captivated by Sunja's beauty, which he found even more striking in person than on TV, and pursued her actively. Despite concerns about their differences—Mr. Kim being single and Sunja being a divorced mother—he decided to focus on her as a person. Just five days after their first meeting, they began dating, showcasing a passionate love in their middle age.

However, their seemingly smooth relationship hit a snag with rumors of a breakup. Mr. Kim admitted to feeling doubtful about their relationship, leading him to block Sunja on social media and delete their photos together.

The breakup was triggered by a clash between Sunja's playful teasing and Mr. Kim's stress over accepting Sunja's child. During a sensitive period, Sunja's jokes overwhelmed Mr. Kim, causing him to react harshly and take a break from the relationship.

Their romance, however, was rekindled by mutual longing. Despite trying to end things before becoming more attached, Mr. Kim found himself reaching out to Sunja, who felt the same way, leading to their reunion.

Sunja described herself as having a 'tomboyish' personality and expressed her apologies, while Mr. Kim stated, 'Although we went through a painful period of doubt, now that we're back together, I am committed to carefully planning our future.'
